MSC Cruises has recently announced the introduction of The Harbour, an innovative outdoor play area located on the top deck of the MSC World America ship. This new addition is part of the Family Aventura district and is set to debut in April 2025. One of the main features of The Harbour is the AquaPark, which includes a splash area and a variety of waterslides. Among these exciting slides are a 90-degree vertical drop slide and a raft slide that incorporates virtual reality technology.
Another thrilling attraction in The Harbour is the Jaw Drop @ The Spiral dry slide. This slide offers a unique experience as riders step into the jaws of a shark and spiral down 11 decks through the heart of the World Promenade. Made of stainless steel, the dry slide alternates between dark and light segments, providing riders with glimpses of the sea views at the back of the ship.
One of the most anticipated features of The Harbour is the Cliffhanger, an over-water swing ride that promises an exhilarating experience at sea. Additionally, the area will also include the Harbour Light House, a thematic playground inspired by the lighthouse at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve.
Alongside the thrilling rides and attractions, The Harbour will offer a range of amenities for families. These include a rock-climbing wall, a two-level ropes course with Sky Rails (similar to a zipline), and the Harbour Bar & Bites grab-and-go snack stand. The Family Dwelling area will provide comfortable seating and shade for families to relax while enjoying live music performances for adults and attractions for children.
The Harbour, along with the Doremiland kids area and Sportsplex, will form the Family Aventura district on the MSC World America. This district is designed to cater to families looking for a fun and exciting cruise experience. Riders of the Jaw Drop @ The Spiral will even enter the dry slide through a shark’s mouth, setting the tone for the thrilling adventures that await in The Harbour.
