Eight months after rebranding to HX from Hurtigruten Expeditions, the company has taken a significant step forward by launching a new travel advisor portal and online education platform. The primary goal behind this initiative is to simplify the name and distinguish it from Hurtigruten’s Coastal Express cruises in Norway. The revamped portal provides access to updated marketing materials, brochures, and webinars designed to enhance advisors‘ understanding of HX’s product offerings.

The one-hour training program offered through the portal covers various aspects such as destinations, sustainability, science, education, and life onboard. The content is concise and engaging, with interactive quizzes to deepen advisors‘ knowledge of the expedition product. This approach is aimed at providing a more immersive and interactive learning experience for travel advisors. Furthermore, completing the training by the end of August gives advisors a chance to win a $150 gift card and receive a travel training certificate and accreditation logo.

In addition to the training program, HX has introduced a monthly webinar series focusing on destinations like Antarctica, Iceland & Greenland, and Arctic Canada & Svalbard. These webinars delve into the expedition product in detail and are accessible through the portal. Moreover, a B2B help desk was established in May to assist advisors with any queries they may have.
