Windstar Cruises Introduces Star Seeker Ship Details

Windstar Cruises has recently revealed exciting details about the upcoming Star Seeker ship, one of two new vessels currently in production. Among the innovative features of the Star Seeker are the two Horizon Owners Suites located at the aft of the ship on deck 7. These suites boast a wraparound balcony and can be combined with adjacent suites to accommodate multigenerational families or offer extra space. The Horizon Owners Suites are set to be the most spacious of the 112 staterooms on the ship, though other accommodations will allow for triple occupancy.

The Star Seeker will also introduce 30 new Infinity Suites, which will showcase a unique floor-to-ceiling infinity window that slides down halfway from the top. This design is reminiscent of features found on expedition ships and promises a one-of-a-kind cruising experience. Additionally, the ship will offer ten Oceanview suites with a window and a luxurious walk-in mosaic glass shower. Notably, the Star Seeker will not include interior cabins, providing guests with stunning views throughout their journey.

Guests staying in the top four suite categories – Horizon, Star, Classic, and Deluxe – can expect exclusive amenities such as an Illy espresso machine, canapes service, and fresh flowers. The interior design of all suites is carefully curated to evoke a sense of tranquility, featuring light wood, soft blues, greens, and natural browns. In contrast, public spaces and restaurants on the ship will showcase vibrant hues inspired by the beauty of sunrises and sunsets, with warm yellows, golds, and oranges creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Scheduled for a January 2026 debut, the Star Seeker will offer a total of twelve suite categories, five dining options, a full-service spa, and an innovative watersports platform for direct access to the water from the ship. Currently under construction in Portugal, the Seeker will embark on a transatlantic crossing from Malaga to Miami for its christening before commencing Caribbean cruises. Subsequently, the ship will journey up the West Coast to Alaska for a full cruising season, followed by voyages in Japan and Southeast Asia.

Windstar Cruises has announced that itineraries for the Star Seeker will be revealed in early September, with priority booking available to Windstar’s Yacht Club loyalty members and travel advisors. The Seeker is the first of two new ships joining the Windstar fleet in 2026, with the Star Explorer anticipated to debut in December of the same year. As Windstar continues to expand its offerings, travelers can look forward to unparalleled luxury and exploration aboard these exceptional vessels.
