Norwegian Cruise Line Expands European Offerings for 2026 Spring and Summer Seasons

Norwegian Cruise Line is making waves with its 2026 spring and summer season by introducing three new ports of call in Europe. Travelers can now look forward to exploring the picturesque landscapes of Portree, Scotland; the charming town of Leirvik (Stord), Norway; and the vibrant city of Palamos, Spain. These new additions offer passengers a chance to immerse themselves in the local culture and unique experiences each destination has to offer.

In addition to the new ports of call, Norwegian Cruise Line is also expanding its offering of extended overnight stays in Europe. Passengers can enjoy 22 overnights during the season, allowing for a more in-depth exploration of select destinations. With overnights in cities like Reykjavik, Iceland; Copenhagen, Denmark; Istanbul, Turkiye; and more, travelers have the opportunity to fully experience these iconic European locations.

The Norwegian Sun will be embarking on a full Baltic season with seven- to 10-day open-jaw cruises from Copenhagen, Denmark. This season marks the first time that Helsinki will serve as a homeport for NCL, offering passengers a new starting point for their European adventures. The Norwegian Sky will be cruising a seven-day Western Mediterranean itinerary, with stops in Barcelona, Rome (Civitavecchia), Nice/Monaco (Villefranche), Marseille, and more. Additionally, the Norwegian Dawn will feature a new open-jaw itinerary with no sea days, beginning or ending in Barcelona or Lisbon and offering late departures from Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza, Portimao, Gibraltar, and other exciting ports of call.

As part of its 2026 offerings, Norwegian Cruise Line will be making debut calls in Portree, Scotland; Salerno, Italy; and Palamos, Spain. The Norwegian Gem, for example, will embark on a new itinerary from Barcelona, featuring the line’s debut call in Palamos, Spain, as well as stops in Salerno, Italy and Nice/Monaco. With expanded routes and exciting new destinations, NCL is providing travelers with even more opportunities to explore and discover the beauty of Europe during the upcoming spring and summer seasons.
