Spirit Airlines Introduces New Fare Bundles to Enhance Passenger Experience

In an effort to cater to a broader range of travelers, Spirit Airlines has announced that they will be introducing new fare bundles starting next month. This decision comes after listening to feedback from their guests, with the goal of providing affordable options that deliver an elevated experience with unparalleled value.

The new bundles, set to go on sale on August 16 for flights beginning on August 27, will offer passengers a variety of choices to suit their preferences. The basic option, known as Go, will allow travelers to bring a personal item that fits below the seat. However, additional fees will be required for services such as checked bags, seat selection, WiFi, snacks, and drinks. This marks a departure from Spirit’s current unbundled tickets, as carry-on bags will not be permitted, even for a fee.

Moving beyond the Go option, Spirit will also introduce two additional bundles – Go Savvy and Go Comfy. Go Savvy will give passengers the flexibility to choose between a carry-on or checked bag, with standard seat assignments being provided at no extra cost. However, amenities such as snacks, drinks, and WiFi will need to be purchased separately. On the other hand, Go Comfy will include seat selection, a blocked adjacent middle seat, a carry-on bag, a checked bag, nonalcoholic beverages, a small snack, and Group 2 early boarding.

For passengers seeking a more premium experience, Spirit’s top-end bundle, Go Big, will offer seats in the more spacious Big Front Seat located at the front of the cabin. This bundle will also include WiFi, Group 1 priority boarding, and other perks included in the Go Comfy bundle. While Go Big shares similarities with the airline’s existing Big Front Seat Bundle, it sets itself apart by including amenities like WiFi, food, beverages, and a checked bag.

In addition to the new fare bundles, Spirit Airlines will be introducing designated priority check-in lanes at more than 20 airports starting on August 27. These lanes will be accessible to Go Big flyers, Gold-level members of the Free Spirit loyalty program, and holders of the Free Spirit World Elite Mastercard. This initiative further emphasizes Spirit’s commitment to providing passengers with a seamless and efficient travel experience.
